The tasting room at Moses Lake's own Dry Falls Cellars http://www.dryfallscellars.com/ was open and busy this weekend. April & I stopped in for a taste and some conversation. Took home an ’07 Snake River Valley Syrah, an ’07 Cinsault and an ’05 Reserve Tempranillo.

Irrigation Design

I’ve got Lad Irrigation ( http://www.ladirrigation.net/ ) designing the irrigation system for the vineyard. Larry Besherse over in their Othello office is a vineyard/drip irrigation expert and most helpful. He assures my the grapes will be fine. He's helped with irrigation on similar micro-vineyards in the area recently, so I'm not the pioneer I thought I was.

House Plans II

The house plans are done and I submit them to Grant County for a building permit. I ask a couple builders for bids, including Bruce Preston Homes, which has an excellent reputation. Bruce is busy, which is a good thing. But it looks like we should be able to get started in early spring.
